Apartment with ocean view

Wake up to the view of the ocean!

Our apartment guarantees the perfect holiday all year round thanks to its ideal location. Los Gigantes in the southwest of Tenerife has the highest number of sunny hours on the island. The town is close to the island's bustling tourist paradise, yet it provides an exclusive, peaceful relaxation. We guarantee that you will have unforgettable experiences on the island of a thousand faces of eternal sunshine.

Our apartment is ideal for 2 people, but the sofa bed in the living room can comfortably accommodate 2 more people. The apartment is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, on the second floor of a garden apartment building.

Homokos strand 3 perc séta!

Los Guios beach is 350 meters from our apartment, right at the foot of the beautiful cliffs. The beach has everything you need for a perfect holiday, sun loungers, parasols, bars, cafes, restaurants, shops. It is worth waiting for the sunset after a day of sunbathing, which bathes the gigantic rocks and the ocean in golden colors. Also close to our apartment is the Playa de La Arena beach, known for its black glittering sand and lined with palm trees. Such special stretches of beach can be found mostly on the secluded beaches of Anaga, but here it is also accompanied by a developed infrastructure. This bathing place regularly receives the UNESCO Blue Flag certification, which is an international recognition for the best beaches.

Stunning panorama from the terrace!

The living room and terrace offer stunning views of the ocean, the iconic rocks of Los Gigantes, the islands of La Gomera and La Palma.

The view at sunset is breathtaking.

The apartment also has a roof terrace equipped with sun loungers, from where the panorama is even more special. Enjoy the sun, listen to the sound of the waves and admire the panorama every day from the terrace!

Natural pools within walking distance!

Thanks to its exceptional unique location, the natural ocean pools of the area are within a few minutes' walk, perhaps the most beautiful of which is the Charco de Isla Cangrejo, which is located 10 minutes from our apartment

Los Gigantes is the perfect holiday destination

The town is located in the southwest of Tenerife, 20-30 km from Costa Adeje, Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos.

The once small fishing village has become a popular holiday destination in recent years, but has not lost its original charm. It got its name “THE GIANTS” from the steep cliffs rising 500-800 meters above the coast, which is one of the main attractions of Tenerife and is among the TOP 5 attractions in guidebooks. You can admire this picture from our apartment, even from the sofa.

A beautiful 6-kilometer coastal promenade runs from Los Gigantes to Alcalá, passing picturesque coastlines, coves and natural pools, and at the end of the promenade you will find one of the island's lesser-known beaches, Playa La Jaquita.

Tours, restaurants, boat trips

You can take wonderful trips to the nearby mountains, and the proximity of the ocean offers plenty of opportunities for water sports, as well as dolphin and whale watching boat trips. One of the island's main attractions, Masca Bay, is also nearby.

The streets of Los Gigantes are lined with cozy bars and shops. In this lovely little town, you can spend every evening listening to live music outdoors, in restaurants serving fresh fish and local specialties. Get ready to fall in love with Tenerife!

Did you know about Tenerife?

Tenerife boasts a diverse natural and cultural heritage and countless records. Let's take a look at some interesting facts!

The Canary Islands are located in the northeastern part of the Atlantic Ocean, geographically they belong to Africa, administratively they belong to Spain,, but they are an autonomous community, meaning they have their own government and legal system.

Of the 8 islands of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is the largest. Other islands:: Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Graciosa, La Gomera, La Palma, El Hiero.

Tenerife has an area of 2,034 km², which is about the size of 4 Budapests or 3 Lake Balatons. Tenerife is home to 43 percent of the Canary Islands' population, with a population of 960,000, ten times that of Hungary. Interestingly, Tenerife is visited by a "Hungarian" population of about9 million tourists every year.

Programs, attractions

Whale and dolphin watching cruises

Among the most popular programs in Tenerife are dolphin and whale watching cruises, which depart from the port of Los Gigantes, a 2-minute walk from our apartment. Countless tour operators offer 2-3 hour programs here, with yachts, catamarans, sailing boats or even pirate ships. It's a fantastic experience to meet pilot whales, bottlenose and humpback whales in their natural habitat. with dolphins, turtles. Often there are schools of Atlantic spotted dolphins, various flying fish, but we can also meet blue whales or orcas.

TIP: Don't miss swimming in Masca Bay!

PRO TIP: Just for you! At the end of the day, admire the sunset from the roof terrace of our apartment, or even from the sofa!

Teide excursion and night stargazing

Teide is one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world, its 3718- meter peak is the highest point in Spain and the Atlantic Ocean; measured from its base, it is 7500 m, making it the highest volcano in the world after the Hawaiian Islands. The Teide National Park, which covers an area of 18,990 hectares and includes Pico Viejo and Montana Blanca, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most visited national park in Europe. The Teide Observatory is located at 2390 meters. From the top of the volcano, there is a stunning panorama of the Canary Islands, which can be reached by cable car, and the last 300 meters can only be climbed with a permit. Don't miss the night stargazing tours, where the wonderful dimensions of the universe are revealed to us thanks to the zero light pollution.

TIP: Bring warm clothes with you, because due to the large difference in altitude it can be up to 15 degrees cooler than on the coast. +1 TIP: Don't even set off on a scooter!

Masca

This picturesque little village is located in the western part of Tenerife, in the embrace of the Teno mountains, with traditional Canarian architecture and a stunning location. One of the most beautiful villages in Tenerife, away from the tourist beaches, a real gem among the clouds, from which you can enjoy stunning views of the ocean and the gorge. Popular hiking trails start from here, which lead through the valley all the way to the coast. From there, you can return to Los Gigantes by motorboat. These excursions are worth taking with a tour guide. The interesting thing about the Masca Valley is that, according to legend, pirates hid their treasures here. Let me know if you find it!

TIP: Get information before you set off by car, because during peak times there are a lot of tourists visiting this location and in addition to the winding serpentine roads, parking can also be a challenge!

Loro Park - The best zoo in the world

This world-famous zoo is located in Puerto de La Cruz, in the north of Tenerife. It is a unique place where we can see more than 400 different animal species. It also has the world's largest parrot collection and penguinarium. Entering the tropical sanctuary, we can feel like we are in a special oxygen tent thanks to the exotic plants and the jungle-like environment. The park also has world-class orca, dolphin and seal shows. Loro Park has been around for over 50 years, and its exemplary efforts in the field of saving endangered species and scientific research have been recognized worldwide. Loro Park boasts countless records and international recognition.

TIP: If you also visit Siam Park, Europe's best water park, you can buy a discounted combination ticket.

Ask - I'll answer!

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but in our opinion, it is definitely worth staying in an apartment in Tenerife, as an apartment gives you more freedom to explore the diverse and varied landscapes of the island. You don't have to adapt to hotel rules, dinner times, and the same meals every day, you eat when and where you want, and it would be a sin to miss out on discovering Tenerife's gastronomy.
Tenerife is called the island of eternal spring, which is true, because the sun always shines here and the average temperature is very balanced, ranging between 18-28 degrees throughout the year. From July to September it is 32-35 degrees, in June and October 29-31, in May and November 27-29, and from December to April 24-26 degrees. We would rather call Tenerife the island of eternal summer, as you can swim in the ocean all year round and the humidity makes the temperature feel higher. Tenerife has many microclimates, which means that the weather can be completely different even just a few kilometers away. In another way, we could say that all 4 seasons can be found here: summer on the southern coast, spring in the northern part of the island, autumn in the Anaga mountains, winter on Teide. From experience, we advise you to always have a swimsuit and a cardigan with you, who knows where your journey will take you during the day.
You can travel to Tenerife from Budapest with direct flights from WizzAir and Ryanair. The journey takes 5 and a half hours.
The time difference is minus 1 hour.
Los Gigantes boasts the best climate in Tenerife, and the highest number of sunny hours here. The south and southwest of the island is a real tourist paradise, thanks to the fact that there is beach time here in winter and summer. The most popular holiday destinations are: Los Cristianos, Playa de Las Americas, Costa Adeje and of course Los Gigantes. The great advantage of Los Gigantes is that although it is close to the bustling tourist paradise of the island, it still provides a quiet, exclusive holiday. In the winter months, the northern side is unpredictable and typically cooler, but Puerto de La Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna are also very popular cities, it is definitely worth organizing a full-day trip to these areas. TIP! Before booking your accommodation, make sure how far the nearest swimming beach issection. If you don't want to drive 15 km to the nearest beach every day, then don't choose the towns near the airport (Golf del Sur, Silencio), this part is also quite windy.
Yes! You can swim in the ocean in Tenerife all year round. Of course, the water temperature is not as high as, for example, the Adriatic or the Red Sea, but it is definitely suitable for refreshing, we can even splash in it in January. The Atlantic Ocean in the Canary Islands is 23-24 degrees in summer, and 20-22 degrees in winter.
It is recommended to bring bathing shoes with you to explore the wilder coastal areas. It is also important to note that the waves are much stronger here than at sea and the green, yellow, red warning signs on the beaches should not be ignored.
It is definitely worth renting a car, because you have to explore every corner of this beautiful island with a thousand faces, and you can do this most easily by car! The use of the motorway and parking are free throughout Tenerife. You can cross the entire island on the TF1 motorway in about 1 hour. The speed limit on the motorways is 120km/h and they strictly enforce mobile phone use and seatbelt use. A tunnel is currently being built that will connect the southern and northern areas. Parking on the street is not easy, but it is possible everywhere in underground garages. (The fee is about 1 Eur / hour). When parking on the street, pay attention to the color of the lane painted on the asphalt (white: parking is allowed, blue: for a short time, yellow: not allowed). You can also rent a scooter or motorbike in Tenerife, but a car is more practical and scooters are not allowed on motorways, and they are not ideal for mountain roads. Quads are almost non-existent.
We recommend the Mercadona grocery store. They offer very delicious, fresh products. A wide selection of vegetables, fruits, baked goods, local specialties, as well as fish, crabs and shellfish on ice in all quantities. A slightly more expensive local grocery chain is Hyperdino, which you can find all over the island, and among the cheaper international chains you can also find Lidl. What you shouldn't miss is the local market offering local producers' products, you can even organize a half-day program here, because you can find everything, a treat for the eyes and mouth and even have lunch.
In Tenerife, the food is of better quality, it costs less than in Hungary. This is thanks to the 7% VAT and much more….
Rather not, although tolerance varies from person to person. You can definitely brush your teeth, wash fruit and vegetables with it, and you can cook with it, but it is not really suitable for drinking. Every convenience store has a wide variety of mineral water available in both small and large packages. We recommend this for drinking.
Yes! And in the waters near Los Gigantes! Since hundreds of pilot whales and dolphins live off the west coast of Tenerife, you can admire them here in their natural habitat. You can choose from a wide variety of boat trips, which offer even better tours. Choose the program with swimming in Masca Bay. During the boat trips, you are almost certain to see whales, because the captains tell each other on the radio where they are swimming. They swim next to the boats, even a few meters away, because they are used to tourists.

„ We spent 6 days in a beautiful place, in a little jewel box. The view of the Los Gigantes cliffs was a mesmerizing sight from the living room and the balcony at all times of the day. TheThe atmosphere of the city, the ocean, the port, the delicious food of the restaurants, the carnival gave us unforgettable experiences. The attractions of the island are reachable by car in a short time. The winding mountain roads, serpentines, the ocean, the volcano, the many attractions really impressed us.
